Speick

Speick

Speick began as a soap introduced in 1928 in Stuttgart, Germany, by Walter Rau. His vision was to harness the legendary healing powers of the Speick plant used in traditional medicine for its calming effect and benefits to digestive health. In addition to its soothing aroma, Speick is now known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant properties. In 1959, Speick introduced an aftershave which quickly became a staple among wet shavers due to its fresh and unique scent.

Scent Description

Speick is one of the most unique fragrances in all of wet shaving due to its eponymous main ingredient, speick, an aromatic plant native to the Alpine regions of Europe known for its fresh, herbaceous and slightly spicy scent. The additions of lavender, lemon, woods and musk blend together to create the complexity of a classic Fougere, but one with a unique character due its special ingredient. The overall effect is a fragrance which is masculine, clean, and woodsy. When used in conjunction with a shave soap it pairs well with other fougere frangrances and is mild enough to be worn in almost any daytime setting, including the office.
