Wood & Spice
Reuzel
Reuzel is a brand born in the counterculture of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The brand was launched by Leen and Bertus who owned the Schorem barbershop with a retro, rock-a-billy vibe, catering to the underground scene. In 2009, they launched the Reuzel brand, which means "lard", focusing on pomade and eventually expanded into a full line of mens's grooming products including shampoos, oils, soaps and aftershaves.

Scent Description
Wood & Spice is warm and comforting fragrance which is extremely versatile and unassuming. The lemon zest is fresh and clean, and the cloves add a luscious soft roundness which is inviting and familiar. Underneath is a blend of cedar and sandalwood which keeps it grounded and adds a masculine touch. Although flowers are absent, it is sweet enough to be alluring, while still remaining calming and gentlemanly. A great everyday scent which can be worn anywhere, anytime.

This was a very interesting scent. In the bottle, I found it to be a medicinal note. But after applying it to the face, that note disappeared and a very pleasant scent took over. The A/S also has a very slight balm like texture which creates a wonderful post face feel.
A great post-shave splash. Very refreshing. It my very well replace Thayers as my go-to for a witch-hazel toner.
