Hendrix Classics & Co (HC&C) was founded by Pete Hendrix, who originally began by making handcrafted straight razors. He later pivoted into shave soaps, aftershaves, EDTs, and accessories, and today sells a complete line of shaving products. HC&C shave soaps are known for using high quality ingredients, with most taking their fragrance inspiration from well known men's colognes and perfumes. The company has a storefront called Luxury Fragrance & Shave in Hermitage Tennessee.
Scent Description
Based on Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud, American Badass is all about wood. Oud, also known as Agarwood, is a love it or hate it scent which is at the same time smoky like incense, musky like leather, and mossy like damp soil. It is derived from the heartwood of the Aquilaria Tree when it becomes infected with a particular mold, and is prized for its rich and complex aroma. Although, the fragrance opens with sweetness from the orange and bergamot, as it dries down the Oud, Leather, Cedar and Sandalwood take over to create a complex blend of dry woods and leather which is intensely masculine and outdoorsy. For a rough and rugged presence, which indeed could be worn by a gunfighter, American Badass is truly....badass.
