Elysian Soap Shop began as a lockdown-era creative project by founder Shannon Constantine Logan, who first learned cold-process soapmaking through message boards, videos, and hands-on experimentation, making goat’s milk bar soaps in the spare bedroom of her apartment and curing them in a closet. Drawing on an earlier background in health and beauty retail with brands like L’Occitane and Acqua di Parma, Shannon gradually shaped Elysian into a luxury men’s grooming and wet shaving brand based in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, built around refined fragrance, elegant presentation, and performance-focused formulas. The brand’s early move into shaving products used locally sourced ingredients such as fresh raw goat’s milk and grass-fed beef tallow, and over time Elysian developed a distinctive identity rooted in mythology, literature, masculine-leaning perfumery, and polished visual design. Its Atlantis line has become a staple aquatic fragrance among serious wet shavers, while the Emperor line, particularly Aurelius, has earned wide critical acclaim. Today, Elysian has a broad following in the United States, an increasingly visible presence in Europe, and a growing audience in Asia.
