Elysian Soap Shop began as a lockdown-era creative project by founder Shannon Constantine Logan, who first learned cold-process soapmaking through message boards, videos, and hands-on experimentation, making goat’s milk bar soaps in the spare bedroom of her apartment and curing them in a closet. Drawing on an earlier background in health and beauty retail with brands like L’Occitane and Acqua di Parma, Shannon gradually shaped Elysian into a luxury men’s grooming and wet shaving brand based in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, built around refined fragrance, elegant presentation, and performance-focused formulas. The brand’s early move into shaving products used locally sourced ingredients such as fresh raw goat’s milk and grass-fed beef tallow, and over time Elysian developed a distinctive identity rooted in mythology, literature, masculine-leaning perfumery, and polished visual design. Its Atlantis line has become a staple aquatic fragrance among serious wet shavers, while the Emperor line, particularly Aurelius, has earned wide critical acclaim. Today, Elysian has a broad following in the United States, an increasingly visible presence in Europe, and a growing audience in Asia.
Scent Description
In the aquatic genre, few fragrances capture the living character of the ocean as convincingly as Atlantis Deep. The pairing of Deep Blue Marine and Oyster Shell gives the impression of standing on a shell-strewn beach as cold waves break at your feet, salty air rising from the surf. Base Description
Elysian introduced its new Cashmere soap base in late 2025, and Atlantis Deep is expected to make the transition in due course. For now, the Original base remains an excellent performer, producing a dense lather that leans toward the creamier side of structured: firm enough to hold its shape and build defined peaks, but still smooth, rich, and indulgent on the skin. The formula is tallow-based and reinforced with Stearic Acid and Coconut Oil, while Shea Butter provides soothing emollience and Glycerin adds humectant hydration. Kaolin Clay and Tussah Silk contribute additional plushness and glide, with Castor Oil further enhancing the slick, luxurious feel. The result is a protective, high-end lather that feels very much in keeping with Elysian’s overall brand identity: polished, premium, and thoughtfully composed.

Another aquatic I absolutely love. It has a classy cologne vibe like you’ll get from Bleu De Chanel, so if you enjoy this type of fragrance this is a must have.
