Gentleman's Nod
Gentleman's Nod was created by Chris Christiansen in 2019. Chris is a self-taught perfumer and soap maker, who first fell in love with Wet Shaving in 2012, and after a few years in shaving industry sales decided to go it alone. After starting with a soap lab in his basement, today Gentleman's Nod operates a commercial facility in Omaha, Nebraska where all of its products are produced. Gentleman's Nod has a reputation for premium grooming products with unique fragrances and high quality ingredients, which include shave soaps, splashes, beard oil, balm, and EDPs.
Scent Description
Although called Juniper Reverie, the fragrance is an intensely floral bouquet with strong upfront contributions from Violet, Myrrh, Incense, Lemon, and Amber. The piney, resinous, green of Juniper is present, but an undercurrent wrapping around the fragrance and binding it together. Reverie is an apt epithet, as it has a dreamy, syrupy, sweetness which can only be associated with a meadow of wildflowers in bloom. Although bold in strength, it eminates a calm, perfumed, softness, which is a hallmark of the sophisticated gentleman, and can be worn in almost any setting, at any time.

Base Description
The Lux soap base is a cornucopia of beneficial ingredients, holding the record for the most skin foods of any base tested on ShaveSplash. In addition to some more common skin foods such as Shea Butter, Kokum Butter, and Aloe, it includes Rhassoul Clay, a mineral rich skin softener, Goat Milk, a soothing moisturizer, rich in vitmains, Albumen, which has tightening and moisturizing benefits, Yogurt, which is both a moisturizer and mild exfoliate, and Candelilla Wax, a protective barrier. The result is a lather which is luscious and creamy, but firm enough to be considered Structured. Density, Slickness and Stability are all high, and the strong structure makes for outstanding Cushion. A complex and rich formula which creates a premium and luxurious soap with a nourishing and well-moisturized post-shave feel.
