Moon Soaps
Moon is the passion project of Melody and Zachary Kent. All of the soaps are made in their home based apothecary studio in Corralitos, California. Even the tallow is rendered by themselves from the cuttings brought home by Zachary from his job (presumably as a butcher). The company's philosophy is to source local and sustainable materials when possible and emphasizes high quality ingredients with properties which are beneficial to the skin. Many of the fragrances are inspired from nature and the sites around their home on the shores of the Pacific in Central California. The product line is more than just shave soaps, including alcohol-based aftershaves, bar soaps, lip balms, body creams, and scrubs.
Scent Description
Bixby is a sweet yet intensely woody fragrance that balances freshness with arid sophistication. It opens with the honeyed brightness of jasmine, green apple, and vanilla, creating a succulent and inviting first impression. Quickly, the composition broadens as driftwood emerges, lending a dry, sun-bleached character that gradually takes center stage. Hints of black tea, sea salt, black pepper, and tonka introduce spicy depth and a paper-dry texture, amplifying the fragrance’s weathered feel. Bixby is both provocative and playful—gentlemanly, alluring, and effortlessly wearable. It’s refined enough for the office, yet distinctive enough to leave a lasting impression, even on date night.
