O! Polskie was created for Stando by Westman Shaving. The fragrance profile dates back to the earliest days of men's perfumes. The inspiration comes from Prazemslawka, a fragrance released in Poland in 1919 by Henryk Zak, who himself drew inspiration from Eau De Cologne, the first modern men's perfume created by the legendary Giovanni Maria Farina in 1709, an Italian perfumer living in Cologne, Germany. Eau De Cologne became so wildly popular that eventually all men's perfumes were referred to as Cologne. O! Polskie, which translates to Oh! Polish, is meant to capture the classic essence of these seminal fragrances and is an intensely floral and fruity bouquet typical of early perfumes with a dark and intense lavender note at its core, buttressed by dry woods and a hint of citrus.
