Hello! I'm new here.
I've been straight razor shaving for exactly 1 year to this day. I'm 29 years old. My girlfriend got me a straight last Christmas but gave it to me in October 2025 because "it'll probably take you until Christmas to learn how to use it". I instantly fell in love with the challenge and finesse of turning a daily chore into a surgically precise ritual. Within this year, I surprisingly learned how to hone. Bevel set to finish. I owe it all to Sean Stapelfeld and my uncanny ability to obsess over the most minute of details. Which apparently, is a solid skill for honing. I've amassed about 80 soaps, 10 brushes, and roughly 12 straight razors. My first being an extra hollow TI and my top favorite being a Gen 2 Filarmonica Novodur 13.
